Call it an (early?) mid-life crisis, or maybe just a nerd’s artistic outlet, but since 2009 I’ve been creating windows and objects out of glass.

Inspired by the work and teaching of local glass artist Richard Paton of Rainbow Glass Studios, I’ve been attending his weekly workshops. Here, a handful of students of his gather to work on personal projects, under Richard’s guidance. Most of us are amateurs, some make a small income from their glass. We chat, often about nothing, but sometime we give each other ideas. We certainly inspire each other.

Here are some examples of my work made at the studio.
